Day 1: Bangkok

“We are beginning our descent into Bangkok. Please return to your seats and fasten your seatbelts,” the pilot announced. Bangkok, the “City of Angels” and capital of the Kingdom of Thailand, also known as the Land of Smiles, because of the kindness and hospitality of its people.

Day 2: Bangkok

Your day begins with a private boat trip in a traditional boat through Bangkok’s canals (klongs), remnants of the “Venice of the East.” You’ll observe the daily life of Thonburi’s inhabitants, amidst stilted houses and preserved traditions. After lunch at a local eatery, you’ll take a tuk-tuk to the Grand Palace, where you’ll discover Wat Phra Kaew and Wat Pho with its impressive reclining Buddha. An optional traditional foot massage will extend your visit. Later, you’ll stop at the Pak Khlong Talad flower market before immersing yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Chinatown, with its hidden temples and abundant street food.

Bangkok - Ayutthaya - Bangkok

Ayutthaya, the former capital of the Kingdom of Siam and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, reveals its majestic temples, its grandiose ruins and its timeless atmosphere.

Day 3: Bangkok - Ayyuthaya - Bangkok

The capital of the Kingdom of Siam in the 15th century, Ayutthaya was one of the most prosperous cities in Southeast Asia before being destroyed by the Burmese in the 18th century. Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it reveals its majestic ruins: monumental temples, monasteries of impressive proportions, and soaring prangs that bear witness to its past grandeur. The tour takes you through its iconic sites, such as Wat Phanangchoeng, Wat Lokaya Sutharam with its 42-meter reclining Buddha, and Phra Si Sanphet, a former royal temple. Wat Mahathat, with its famous Buddha head entwined by tree roots, will remain a highlight of this exploration. Between visits, don’t miss Roti Sai mai, a local specialty reminiscent of colorful and crispy cotton candy. At the end of the day, the golden light of the setting sun illuminates the ruins and provides a unique setting to immortalize this journey through time. And back to Bangkok in the early evening.

Day 4: Mae Klong - Kanchanaburi

Your journey will first take you to Mae Klong, famous for its market where a train runs right through the stalls. You’ll then continue to the vibrant and flavorful Damnoen Saduak floating market before reaching Kanchanaburi and its Bridge on the River Kwai. There, a scenic train will take you along the historic Death Railway, offering breathtaking views and a poignant reminder of World War II, before you check into your hotel.

Day 5: Erawan National Park

Your day begins at Erawan National Park, famous for its seven-tiered waterfalls and turquoise pools surrounded by tropical jungle. The perfect opportunity for a refreshing swim in the heart of nature. After an included lunch at the elephant center, you’ll enjoy a special encounter with this iconic animal, now protected in sanctuaries dedicated to its well-being. The day will conclude with your transfer to Bangkok to board your overnight train at 8:00 PM.

The trip starts and ends in Bangkok. A domestic flight between Koh Samui and Bangkok is required for your return, and we can of course arrange this for you.
