Day 1: Heading to Khao Sok, a preserved tropical sanctuary

From Surat Thani, the road gently leads you to the deep jungle of Khao Sok. Once settled in, you glide down the river on a bamboo raft, guided by a villager. The silence of the forest, the age-old traditions, the tea brewed in a steaming bamboo tube… everything here invites you to slow down, listen, and feel. In the evening, savor the Anurak Jungle Dinner: a traditional meal in the heart of the jungle, prepared using time-honored methods with fresh ingredients from the forest.

Day 2: Cheow Lan, the emerald jewel of Khao Sok

Head to Cheow Lan Lake, an emerald jewel nestled between karst cliffs and lush jungle. Aboard a dugout canoe, you’ll glide between limestone peaks, explore a hidden cave, and hike through the forest. Far from everything, you’ll spend the night in a floating bungalow, lulled by the sounds of nature. The silence of the lake, the morning mist, and the calls of the gibbons create an unforgettable escape.

Dharma Park & Koh Samui

From the spiritual tranquility of Dharma Park, where chedis rise above the jungle, to the golden end of the day on the peaceful shores of Koh Samui.

Day 3: From the serenity of Dharma Park to the peaceful beaches of Koh Samui

An early start to reach Khao Na Nai Luang Dharma Park, a Buddhist sanctuary perched high in the mountains, amidst stone staircases and panoramic views of the misty canopy. After this spiritual interlude, we’ll travel to Don Sak to catch the ferry to Koh Samui. Behind its bustling image, the island still hides unspoiled corners, like Ban Tai, a peaceful village nestled between tranquil beaches and lively towns. We’ll experience our first sunset, feet in the sand, facing a golden sea.

Day 4: Koh Samui between freedom and discovery

The following day, you have the choice between a free day, at your own pace – exploring the island by scooter, relaxing at the hotel, or enjoying the beach – or a guided excursion to discover the most beautiful spots on Koh Samui, far from the crowds. Perched temples, secluded coves, peaceful beaches, and spectacular panoramas will fill the day, punctuated by lunch at a hidden gem and moments of relaxation, such as swimming, massages, or hiking to a secluded waterfall. The day ends beautifully with a sunset on the island’s west coast.

Ang Thong Marine National Park

Off the coast of Samui, Ang Thong National Marine Park encompasses 42 pristine islets with limestone cliffs, fine sandy beaches, and secluded lagoons. Designated a protected area, it shelters rich flora and fauna and offers hiking, swimming, and spectacular views.

Day 5: A wild interlude in the heart of Ang Thong

From Samui, you’ll board a traditional shared boat around 9:00 AM to reach Ang Thong National Marine Park. After settling into your tent or bungalow, a simple lunch awaits you overlooking the sea. The afternoon unfolds at your leisure: swimming, snorkeling above the colorful reefs, canoeing, or simply relaxing on the beach. Then, around 4:00 PM, as the boats depart and the silence returns, you’ll set off in a private long-tail boat to explore the park’s 42 islets: a deserted emerald lagoon, secluded beaches, and spectacular viewpoints bathed in golden light. In the evening, after dinner, the bay might light up with a display of bioluminescent plankton, offering a spectacle as subtle as it is magical.

Day 6: First rays of sunlight on the silent islands, like a goodbye

The next day, at 6 a.m., the magic happens again. The beach is silent, still bathed in the cool of the night. The outlines of Koh Phangan and Koh Samui appear on the horizon, and sometimes, a few spectacled langurs—those discreet monkeys with black fur and pale faces—come to greet the first stirrings. At 7 a.m., you set off to climb to the Pha Chan Charat viewpoint. A thirty-minute walk, accessible but a little steep towards the end. Up there, a breathtaking panorama awaits you: the 42 islands of Ang Thong stretch out under a fine mist, without a sound, without a visitor. It might be one of the most beautiful sunrises of your trip. You’ll leave in the late morning, by private speedboat, for Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, or Surat Thani, your head full of images, the taste of salt still on your lips, and that rare feeling of having experienced something profoundly real.

  • Traveling with two children is always a bit of a challenge… but this trip was a real success! The transfers went smoothly and without stress; everything was seamless and well-organized. The children loved every stop: paddling a canoe in Ang Thong, watching the monkeys at dawn, and swimming on nearly empty beaches. Sleeping in a bungalow in the national park was an incredible adventure for them—waking up with the sea right outside is a memory they already cherish. For us parents, it was the perfect balance of discovery, comfort, and relaxation. A trip that brought us closer together and will remain etched in our family memories.
