Day 1: Arrival in Luang Prabang
“We are beginning our descent into Luang Prabang. Please return to your seat and fasten your seatbelt,” announces the cabin crew chief. In less than 30 minutes, your plane will land in the former royal capital, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon exiting the airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel (rooms available from 2:00 PM). Depending on your arrival time, you may already be able to enjoy a sunset cruise on the Mekong River. Dinner is at your leisure, and you will spend the night at your hotel in Luang Prabang.

Day 2: Kuang Si – Luang Prabang
Depart early in the morning for Kuang Si Falls to enjoy this magnificent site before the crowds arrive. The road passes through Khamu and Hmong villages, offering an authentic glimpse into local life. After lunch, return to Luang Prabang to discover its cultural treasures: the National Museum with its golden Buddha, the ancient royal temple of Wat Mai, the golden-fronted Wat Sene, as well as Wat Visoun and Wat Aham, important sites of local history and beliefs. Day 3: Pak Ou - Luang Prabang
Begin your day with a visit to Wat Xieng Thong, a spiritual and architectural gem of Luang Prabang and a shining testament to Lao Buddhism. Then, embark on a peaceful cruise on the Mekong River, gliding between verdant hills to the sacred Pak Ou Caves, where thousands of Buddha statues stand silently watch, creating a mystical atmosphere. On the return journey, stop in the villages of Ban Xang Hai, known for its traditional lao-lao rice whisky, and Ban Xieng Khong, where artisans preserve the traditions of silk weaving and Saa paper. Day 4: Phoukhoune – Vang Vieng

From Vientiane, a capital steeped in spirituality and traditions, head towards Pakse, the ideal starting point for exploring the Bolaven Plateau and its lush landscapes.
Day 5: Van Vieng – Vientiane
A leisurely start to the morning in Vang Vieng, followed by a drive to Vientiane, the peaceful capital of Laos, which recently celebrated its 450th anniversary. En route, a stop at Van Sang, an ancient sacred sanctuary dating back several centuries before the Lane Xang kingdom. In the afternoon, discover the city’s treasures: Wat Sisaket with its thousands of Buddha statues, Ho Phra Keo, a former royal temple now a museum, and That Luang, a spiritual symbol of the country. A visit to Patou Xay, the local triumphal arch, completes the tour. Depending on the time, a stop at Wat Si Muang, a sacred site revered by the locals, is possible. Overnight in Vientiane.

Day 6: Vientiane - Pakse – Bolaven Plateau
Early morning transfer to the airport for a flight to Pakse, a former colonial city now a bustling hub in southern Laos. You will be met by your guide and then travel to the Bolaven Plateau, renowned for its fertile land, coffee and tea plantations, and ethnic minority villages. Discover the majestic Tad Fane waterfalls, plunging over 200 meters into dense vegetation, then continue to Paxong and Tadlo, a refreshing oasis with its series of cascades. Stop at plantations for a tasting before meeting the Katou minority in the villages of Pong Neua and Kok Bhoung. Overnight in Pakse.

Pakse - Koh Trong

Day 7: Pakse – Khong Island
The road takes you to the southern tip of the country, to the Ban Nakassang pier. From there, a longtail boat glides among the countless islets of the 4,000 Islands, where time seems to flow differently. On Khone Island, marked by its English colonial heritage, a local lunch precedes a tuk-tuk ride to the impressive Liphi Falls. Crossing the old railway bridge, a relic of the colonial era, you reach Det Island, before continuing on to the tranquil Khong Island. Dinner and overnight stay in the heart of this unique island atmosphere.

Day 8: Khone Phapheng – Koh Trong
Return to the mainland to reach the Nong Nok Khian/Dom Kralor border crossing, with a detour to the powerful Phapeng Falls, nicknamed the “Niagara of the Mekong.” After immigration formalities, head to the Cambodian side where your guide will lead you to Kratie, through landscapes of red earth and traditional villages. A boat trip offers the chance to spot the Mekong dolphins, a rare and vulnerable species. At the end of the day, a boat will take you to the peaceful island of Koh Trong, a true haven of tranquility. Day 9: Phnom Santuk – Kompong Thom

After lunch, continue to Beng Mealea, a mysterious temple swallowed by the jungle. Its fractured towers, columns entwined with vines, and wooden walkway create a timeless atmosphere, similar to that experienced by the first explorers. This captivating setting was also used in the film Two Brothers. Return to Siem Reap at the end of the day.

Day 13: Angkor – Siem Reap
Discover the Bayon, famous for its faces with mysterious smiles. This temple-mountain, a veritable forest of giant heads, unfolds like a labyrinth of towers, terraces, and corridors. Stroll on the Terrace of the Leper King, a former cremation site, and the Terrace of the Elephants, once used for royal ceremonies. Visit the Baphuon, an imposing royal temple restored by the École Française d’Extrême-Orient (English School of Asian Studies).
